Skin Care Tips for the Fellas

Fellas, if you're getting up in the morning, washing your face with bar soap and water and running out the door, then it's time to step up your skincare game. We aren't suggesting that you fill up your medicine cabinet with hard-to-pronounce cleansers and creams you probably won't use. But we do recommend committing to memory and practicing these five skincare tips that will make us do a double-take. But seriously, don't let these steps intimidate you... they're only fine-tuning what you already do.

1. Wash your face with a good cleanser. This is a no-brainer. But the reality is, either you guys are doing it all wrong or just not doing it at all. Men are often guilty of taking super hot showers and using harsh soaps or face scrubs, This makes your skin dry and when your skin is dry you appear wrinkly and much older.

Try this Pre-Shave Thermal Cleanser by Oceane

2. Stop buying cheap razors. According to master barber at The Art of Shaving at Tysons Corner Center in McLean, VA, most men shave five times a week. (How do you do it?) "A quality razor can be a lifetime item, so choose your weapon wisely. Choose a razor that fits your skin sensitivity and beard coarseness, your face will thank you," says Cheung.

3. Make after-shave your new best friend. After-shave hydrates and soothes the skin; it also seals in the skin after a nice shave. Your after-shave should be alcohol-free because alcohol dries your skin -- plain and simple.

We Recommend the Oceane After Shave Balm

4. Don't skip the facial moisturizer. Facial hair can be sexy on a guy, but what really turns us on is when our faces touch and it doesn't feel like sandpaper. Moisturizing daily will get you soft, kissable skin.

5. Never leave home without applying sunscreen. If you can find a moisturizer that contains SPF of 30 or higher, then you're way ahead.

Say Good Bye to Puffy Eyes

PUFFY EYES....First things first. We’d like to avoid having them at all. The way to do that is:

1. Drinking some major H2O

2. Getting your beauty sleep

3. Taking your vitamins

4. Being born that way

I am aware that some (if not all) of the things on this list cannot always be attained. I am also aware that (due to genetics) some of us (yes I said us, as in me too) could sleep for the rest of 2015 with an IV pumping fluids and vitamins into our veins and still be bagging and sagging...But no worries!

In that case we move to damage control:

Try Applying Something Cold to Your Eyes (frozen cucumber slices, cold teaspoons, or even potato slices)

Get yourself a great Eye De-puffer. Our recommendations:

The Oceane Eye Therapy -

A rich, silky formula developed specifically to deliver immediate, noticeable results to the delicate skin around the eyes. It corrects existing fine lines, wrinkles, and under-eye circles and puffiness, as well as prevents future signs of aging.

The Power of Exfoliation - PRO TIPS

1. Before stepping into the shower, brush your dry skin with your loofah, body brush or exfoliating gloves. This will help remove the loose skin and prepare your skin for the exfoliating process. Begin with the soles of your feet, working your way up your body.

2. Get into the shower and wet your body from head to toe. Don't exfoliate your skin if you are sunburned or have any open cuts or wounds.

3. Use a pumice stone on your feet to eliminate rough spots and calluses. If your feet are extremely rough, soak them in a basin of warm water mixed with a cup of milk for 30 minutes before getting into the shower.

4. Apply your exfoliating cleanser to your loofah or gloves. Begin scrubbing your body in a circular motion starting with the bottoms of your feet and working your way up. When you reach the bikini area, don't scrub too hard because the skin is very sensitive.

5. Use a body brush to exfoliate your back and other hard-to-reach places.

6. Be gentle on your face, particularly around your eyes and mouth. Use an exfoliating product especially formulated for the face, which is gentler than products designed to be used on the body.

7. Don't forget about your hands. You want them to look and feel soft and smooth too!

8. Rinse your body with lukewarm water, and follow with the coldest water you can stand. Apply a shower gel to soften your skin, if you'd like.

9. After stepping out of the shower, apply a moisturizing body lotion all over. Body lotions and facial moisturizers containing alpha or beta hydroxy acids are ideal choices because these acids continue to remove dead skin cells.

10. Use body moisturizer once a day. Exfoliation is drying to the skin, so you must keep your skin hydrated.

The Lips Have it...What Your Lip Color Says About You

The LIPS Have it...

Lipstick shades may determine what kind of woman you’re telling the world you are.

Red Rockers are deemed more creative and daring by others. They are also the most likely to be out of the house and at a bar on a Saturday night. They're most likely to exercise at least five times a week. Get it, girls!

Pink lipstick wearers are perceived as more sociable and fun-loving. But pink is also the color of power: Senior executives are more likely to own a shade of pink, whereas more junior ladies wear plums or nudes.

Plum puckers allow women to seem more independent and self-sufficient. Women who wear berry shades scored on the more mellow side of all survey questions, as they stay home on the weekends, rarely post selfies, and own the least number of shoes compared to other shade wearers.

Nude lips help women seem more warm and caring, which is why psychologists recommend trying a nude shade for that first date or a night out with good friends. Plus, you get the perks of the women who wear lipstick most often (like more confidence) while emphasizing your natural coloring.

Beach Ready Skin

Skin-baring season is here. Get smooth, flawless skin with our best skin care tips.

Exfoliation is the first step on the beach-body checklist. It sloughs off rough skin, makes skin more receptive to other treatments and creates a smooth canvas for fake tan.

The easiest and cheapest way is to use hand mitts and shower gel. Salt and sugar scrubs are oil-based, so don't use them right before applying fake tan as they'll get in the way of the formulation sticking.

For sensitive skin, dry body brushing is recommended. "Use a natural-bristle brush and work in light strokes towards the heart. It lightly removes dead skin, increases circulation and has a detoxing action that treats cellulite."

Washing can make skin dry out. Don't make the water too hot and use a gentle body wash.

If you have pale skin and dark hair, consider laser for long-term hair removal. For this summer? Waxing remains an effective way to take hairs out from the roots.
Shaving is even quicker and if you use a shaving oil you get smooth, silky-looking skin.

Body oils are protective and add a beautiful gleam. They suit most skins, but very dry types might prefer a balm with shea or cocoa butter.

Exfoliating regularly and massaging body oils into your skin is the best way to get a healthy glow.

BONUS TIP: If the skin on your back is congested, try a "back facial" - a treatment offered at many salons that exfoliates and deeply cleanses this common problem area. Backless dresses, here we come!

Dive into Oceane!

Oceane Beauty, launched in 2015, caters to those who are seeking to rejuvenate their youthful appearance and to defy the aging process, those who want to feel as if they have just stepped out of the most exclusive spa, and those who want to look at their best.
For years, our research & development team, comprised of world renowned skin-care experts, has been trying to formulate that “perfect formula” that will reverse time, defy the aging process, and minimize the signs of premature aging. After many years and large capital investments we are proud to announce that we have found the fountain of youth: Oceane Beauty.
The two key ingredients that make the Oceane line stand tall above the competition is Pearl Powder and Marine Plant Stem Cells, both well known for their age defying and beautifying properties.
Pearl Powder is an ancient beauty ingredient that has been used for over 3000 years by Asians, Egyptians, Chinese, Mayans and Indians for radiant, bright, glowing, and healthy looking, beautiful skin as well as a remedy for a variety of skin ailments.

Pearl Powder is rich in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. In addition to its beautifying and anti-aging properties, Pearl Powder is also considered by many Asian traditions to stimulate healing, clear toxins from the human body, improve hair shine & strength, enhance cell metabolism, and contribute to one’s overall well-being.

Pearl Powder is known as a super exfoliator as it naturally removes dead skin from the top layer of the skin. This natural, controlled exfoliation process will allow other age-defying ingredients to penetrate better and deeper into the skin for superior long lasting results.
While the benefits of Pearl Powder are well documented, the main benefits are:
• Pearl Powder softens and firms radiant, youthful Skin.
• Pearl Powder for centuries has been known for its skin brightening and lightening properties.
• Pearl Powder assists the body in regeneration of Collagen.
• Pearl powder assists in healing Acne, Scars, and other skin disorders.
• Pearl powder assists in reducing the visibility of lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, and other signs of premature aging.
• Pearl powder reduces large pores, increases skin elasticity, and makes skin more flexible.
